Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, was born in Paris France of British parents Jacqueline Luesby Watson and Chris Watson both attorneys. At the age five she moved to Oxfordshire where she attended the Dragon School. Emma was only six when she realized she wanted to pursue a career as an actress. She trained for several years at Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a Part-time theatre school located in Oxford where she studied acting and singing. At the age of 10, Emma had taken part in a variety of Stagecoach productions and plays. Casting began in 1999 to cast Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the film adaptation of British author J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Emma was identified by casting agents via Emma's Oxford theatre instructor. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone, and Ron Weasley told Emma after eight auditions that she had been chosen for these parts. Emma was chosen to play alongside Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. Emma's screen debut took place with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's release in 2001. It broke all records in opening-day sales and opening-weekend takings and became the top-grossing movie of 2001. The film was praised by critics and the performance of three leading actors of the young generation. The Daily Telegraph in Britain and the Daily Telegraph in America, widely read and widely read, praised her performance as admirable. Emma received five awards for her performance in the movie.
