Christopher Robert Evans, born June 13, 1981, is an American actress. His career began with television roles, including Opposite Sext in the year 2000. In 2005, after appearing as a character in Not Another Teen Movie and Fantastic Four (and its sequel Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer 2007) The actor was recognized for playing the Marvel Comics hero the Human Torch. Evans was also featured in films based on comics, including TMNT (2007) Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2009) Snowpiercer (2003). In addition to his role as Captain America/Steve Rogers Evans earned him recognition for his appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies Captain America: The First Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2015) and Captain America: Civil War. Within the Marvel universe, his role as Steve Rogers / Captain America earned him the title of top-paid actor in the world.
