Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig on 21 September 1983) is an American actress best recognized for her performances in the roles of Shannon Rutherford on the ABC television show Lost and Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. After the divorce of her parents, she left Worthington Ohio in order to settle in Los Angeles. The year 2001 was a difficult one for her, but despite finances, she was able get her first significant part in the web-based video series Rachel's Room as the principal character. Following her win of an Young Artist Award in 2002 for her portrayal in Murder In Greenwich of 15 year aged Martha Moxley as a murder victim, Grace went on to take home the award. Grace Rutherford's character she played in Lost from 2004 until 2005 was selected for an Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace decided to concentrate on film after playing opposite Tom Welling's character on The Fog, in 2005. She has appeared on Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club as well in 2007 and Taken with Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. Taken 2 (2012), Taken 3 2014 and Taken 4 (2014) are her re-casts of the role. Grace performed the role of Shannon on the final episode and two other episodes. Grace appeared in Californication's 6th season that aired between 2013 and the year 2014. She is Faith an actress who serves as a model for the stars, and draws the eye from Hank Moody (David Duchovny). She's a Gyllenhaal. daughter of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), as well as older that Jake Gyllenhaal. The career of her mother began when she was an early teenager, as she was cast in minor roles in several films that her father directed. Some of her other parts include acting as a Secret Service agent of The Secret Service in White House Down 2013, singing in Frank 2014, and the role of a teacher in The Kindergarten Teacher 2018, where she portrays the title role. Gyllenhaal wrote and directed her debut film The Lost Daughter in 2021. The drama about psychological issues won the Best Screenplay Award from the Venice International Film Festival. The film was also nominated for The Academy Award of Best Adapted Screenplay.
